We are excited to announce our latest audio transcription updates.
- Audio Transcription is now fully supported and can be configured through Graphical designer.
- Project managers can use parameter waveform=true| false along with “type=play-only” to either display the waveform or just a simple audio player.
When type=segmentation, contributors can now assign Segment Identifiers and color code them.
Contributors can hide/unhide segments that will enable them in better segmentation.
Contributors can filter on the segments by Segment Identifiers so that they can view all related segments together.
Segments can also be deleted using the “Delete Segment” option for specific segments.
Project managers can use parameter segmentation-required="0.x" to specify how much of the total audio must be segmented.
Project managers can use parameter overlap=true| false to specify if the contributors are allowed/not allowed to create the overlapping segments. More Info.

We are excited to share the migration of Appen Mobile from React Native to Compose Multiplatform, highlighting performance gains, feature completion, and technical progress.
Migrating to Compose Multiplatform improved performance, native integration, and user experience, resulting in faster app startup and smaller app size.
All features—authentication, core functions, media capture, and data management—are complete with enhanced UI and security.
The migration enabled code reuse across iOS and Android, reducing development time and improving debugging and testing.
Comprehensive testing resolved issues and improved core functionality, user interface, media handling, and the question system.
The modern tech stack, including Kotlin Multiplatform and Swift, provides a shared codebase, native performance, and efficient resource management, positioning the app for scalability and faster feature development.
